Hehe, this pic was in the Post Gazette on Thursday. That means I’m cool. Uber cool. Except the article said I’m from Maryland…which is news to me, but I’ll go with it 😉
Just in case y’all were wondering, we’re kick seining for fish! Stephanie (right) and I would hold the net low in the water, and then Laura (middle) would start a reasonable distance away and then kick and splash and make a general disturbance in the water to get the fish to go towards the net. Then we hoisted it up quickly and identified everything in the net and released the fish before they choked. I’m still bad at identifying, though. I have maybe seven Pennsylvania fish in my repertoire, so if it ain’t one of those seven, I’m no help.
I feel like mentioning that it started pouring rain about five minutes after this picture was taken. We all looked like drowned rats…in waders. Science!
